Anonymous usage statistics
To understand which parts of the app are used, daily aggregate counters are sent (e.g. screen opens, time-on-screen range, reading depth, whether a search returned results). These counters are not linked to your account; they are sent at most once a day together with a randomly generated install ID, app version, platform and language. Search text, location and your personal content are never sent.
Opting out: turn off More → Settings → “Anonymous usage data” to stop sending and delete counters waiting on the device.
Google Firebase Analytics
We use Google Firebase Analytics to measure app usage and evaluate advertising performance. Screen views, sessions and certain in-app events (e.g. completing a dhikr goal, reading a piece of content) are sent to Google together with an app instance ID and the advertising ID; they are not linked to your name, email or account.
Opting out: the “Anonymous usage data” setting above also stops Firebase data collection.
7. Notification data
To deliver reminders we store a push token for your device. The token does not directly reveal your identity and is used only to send notifications. You can disable notifications entirely or keep only the types you want.
Retention: while the account is active and notifications are enabled.
8. Advertising data
In the free tier, ads are served through Google AdMob. Under its own policy AdMob may process the Advertising ID, device information, approximate location and ad interaction data. This data is not stored on our servers.
You can reset your Advertising ID or opt out of personalised ads in your Android settings. No ads are shown on Quran screens. The AI Premium and Ultimate plans remove ads across the whole app.
9. Purchase data
Subscriptions and in-app purchases are handled by Google Play Billing. Your card details never reach us; we process only the purchase token and plan status needed to verify that a subscription is valid.
Retention: for the duration of the subscription and for any statutory record-keeping period.
10. AI requests
When you use the assistant, smart search, catechism question-and-answer or the dua workshop, only the prompt you send and the relevant content excerpts are transmitted to Google Gemini. Your account details, email address and worship history are not sent. The number of requests is recorded against your account for quota tracking.
