Summary: you can delete your account yourself from the in-app menu. If you cannot access the app, write to haceverse@gmail.com. Deletion is completed within thirty days at the latest and cannot be undone.
1. Deleting from within the app (recommended)
- Open Zikir Vakti and sign in to your account.
- Tap the menu icon at the top left to open the side menu.
- Scroll to the My Account section.
- Tap Delete Account.
- Read the warning and confirm.
Your account is closed and your session ends as soon as you confirm. Removing all server-side records takes up to thirty days.
2. Requesting deletion by email
If you cannot sign in, or prefer a written request, write to haceverse@gmail.com and include:
- Subject: “Account deletion request”
- The email address registered to your account
- Your username, if you have one
When we receive the request we write to your registered email address to verify your identity. After verification the deletion is started and we confirm once it is complete.
3. What is deleted
When your account is deleted, the following is permanently removed:
- Account details: email, name, username, profile photo, bio
- Dhikr and dua counts, streak, level, points, badges and achievements
- Daily goals and progress records
- Quran reading progress, bookmarks, notes and collections
- Qada prayer records and worship statistics
- Personal munajat, dua texts and intention notes
- Community posts, comments and likes
- Khatm, halaqa, jihad and condolence participation records
- Preferences, settings and push notification token
4. What is not deleted, or deleted later
- Local data on your device: downloaded translations, catechism and hadith texts, and local settings remain on your device. Uninstall the app to remove them completely.
- Anonymous statistics: aggregated usage statistics that cannot identify you may be retained.
- Legal records: records we are legally required to keep (for example purchase and invoice records) are retained for the statutory period.
- Backups: copies in system backups are removed when the backup cycle completes, within thirty days at the latest.
- Google Play purchase history: held in Google’s own records and managed from your Google Play account.
5. Cancelling a subscription
Deleting your account does not automatically cancel your subscription. You must cancel it separately via Google Play → Menu → Subscriptions. Otherwise renewal charges may continue.
6. Timing and reversibility
- Account access: closed the moment you confirm
- Server-side deletion: within thirty days at the latest
- The process cannot be undone. You may create a new account with the same email, but your previous data cannot be restored.
7. Requesting a copy before deleting
You may request a copy of your data before deleting your account. Write to haceverse@gmail.com with the subject “Data copy request”; we respond within thirty days. See the Privacy Policy for details.
8. If you use the app without an account
If you have used Zikir Vakti without creating an account, we hold no server-side record about you. Your data is stored only on your device and is removed when you uninstall the app.
